I do enjoy fort joy alot building up my toons and whatnot. But act 3 is definitely alot of fun to me (I know it's basically everyone's least favorite) but once you get to act 4 the game changes immensely. I've restarted multiple playthroughs but it wasn't to replay fort joy. It was because I didn't like the way the playthrough was going.

No way around it. 2nd: the game does not accept your mercs as playable characters (at least in act1). Many dialogs and quests will not carry on for them. Like the source-collar quest.
