I recently aquired an S&W 32 Long CTG, it has a 2 1/2" barrel that is stamped "32 LONG CTG" on the right and "SMITH & WESSON" on the left, a smallish checked wood grip with the S&W logo inset into both sides, serial # on the butt is 540386 and on the inside of the frame when the cylinder is open is the letter "R" and the # 5752.And, unlike the .32, the .38 RP started with serial number 1 in 1917.
