There is no step-by-step guide to power and riches; that's what makes 4x games so much fun and so replayable. If you want to enjoy this single player game, stop worrying about what the difficulty level is, set it down to the lowest possible level, and win a game. R5: Stellaris version of the 'Yuu Buys a Cookie' meme. Research is super easy to get if you can produce enough Consumer Goods to support it. Using Industrial Districts, you can get the Alloys you need for ships alongside the Consumer Goods in one easy-to-use box. Of course, later on you'll want to specialize planets, but in the early game the ...Ecumenoplis are strong but Voidborne + Meritocracy + max stability + fanatic egalitarian means a single habitat dedicated to alloys will produce a significant amount. It has good bonuses and doesn't require any specific play style to take advantage of it, unlike most of the other origins. As civics, Technocracy is good (requires Materialist ethics); if you like it, you must take it at the start of the game.Stellaris Psionic Ascension is very powerful if we get it early, but sometimes RNG can be mean. With the Teachers of the Shroud origin we can bypass the RNG....Secondly, while you gain +15 pop growth at the start of the game, you are limited to 100 pops. This can be remedied in only two ways.
